This Privacy Policy explains what Buy The Car Wash collects, how we use it, and your choices. By using the Site you agree to this policy.
Account information you give us (name, email, password — stored only as a secure hash). Content you post to the community and deal boards. Basic technical data needed to run the Site (such as your IP address and session activity, used to keep you logged in and to deter password sharing). Messages you send through the contact form. For consulting purchases, we retain your name, email, hours purchased, amount, Stripe reference, purchase date, and scheduling status. If you affirmatively opt in on the join page, we also save your name, email, selected program tier, consent date, and most recent interest date so we can send acquisition notes and program updates even if you do not complete checkout.
We never see or store your full card number. Card details are entered into and processed by Stripe, our payment processor, on Stripe's own hosted checkout and billing pages; we receive only a confirmation and limited details needed to manage your membership. Stripe’s handling of your payment data is governed by Stripe’s own privacy policy.
To provide the Services, manage your membership and access, respond to your messages, keep the Site secure, and improve the content. We may email you about your account (for example, password resets and receipts). If you separately opt in to marketing, we may also send practical car wash acquisition notes and program updates about every other week.
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run the Site (for example, our payment processor Stripe, our hosting provider, and, if configured, an email delivery provider), and where required by law.
We use a single essential, signed session cookie to keep you logged in. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies. We keep first-party daily traffic counts for public pages, including page views, referring website domains, and a pseudonymous visitor identifier created with a one-way keyed hash. The analytics record does not store your raw IP address or full user agent and is automatically pruned after 180 days.
Passwords are hashed, traffic is served over HTTPS, and access to member data is restricted. We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to run the Services and meet legal obligations.
You can update your password from your membership page and request access to or deletion of your account information through the contact page. Every marketing email must include an unsubscribe link; using it stops future marketing messages. Some records (such as payment history) may be retained where required for legal or accounting purposes. The Services are not directed to anyone under 18.
